It’s Never Too Late to Rise:
What Becoming an Altitude Awards Finalist Means to Me.
Being selected as a finalist in the I’m On My Way category of the 2026 Altitude Awards feels like an acknowledgement of that journey. It tells me that the work I am doing matters and that R.I.S.E Creating Change is becoming recognized as a genuine and growing business with an important purpose.
The winners will be announced at the Altitude Awards Gala Ball on 12 September 2026. Of course, receiving the award would be an incredible honor, but becoming a finalist has already given me something valuable: the feeling of being seen, heard and acknowledged for work that comes from my heart.
Whatever happens on the night, I am proud of how far I have come and excited about what lies ahead. If my journey offers one message to others, it is this: you are not too old, it is not too late, and your past does not have to decide your future. Keep believing in what matters to you, keep taking the next step and give yourself permission to rise.
Being named a finalist means more to me than I can fully express. It feels as though R.I.S.E Creating Change is finally being seen not as a hobby, but as the meaningful business I have worked hard to build and am deeply passionate about. Supporting others has been part of who I am throughout my life, and I have had the privilege of helping many people along the way. To now be recognized as an emerging business is both humbling and affirming.
R.I.S.E Creating Change grew from my own lived experience of overcoming adversity and discovering that the past does not have to define the future. My journey has not always been easy, but every challenge has taught me something about strength, healing and the possibility of meaningful change. Over time, my personal experiences and professional training came together and gave me a clearer sense of purpose.
Today, through personalized one-to-one Root Cause Therapy and practical Life Guidance, I support adults who feel held back by anxiety, low self-worth, emotional pain and recurring patterns—including patterns that may have been carried through generations. My purpose is to help people release what no longer serves them, rebuild their confidence and begin creating a future that feels more aligned with who they truly are.
Building a business in my sixties has brought challenges. I have had to learn new technology, become more visible, believe in my own value and continue moving forward even when progress felt slow. There have been moments of uncertainty, but the passion behind my work has kept me going.
R.I.S.E stands for Rise Into Self-Elevation, and in many ways, building this business has also been part of my own continuing rise.
